Project:
“Learning on the go (LoG) Mobile Learning Project”
LoG project is the result of the collaboration between Stockport College, Trafford
College and MIMAS (The University of Manchester). The project utilises the vocational and work-based Hairdressing provisions in the two colleges, mobile learning hairdressing materials provided by MIMAS and mobile learning technology in order to achieve the overall programmes experience improvement.
LoG Project Aims are to roll-out mobile learning in vocational WBL Hairdressing to 455 learners at the colleges, provide learning support (ALS) in mobile-learning materials to 155 learners across vocational areas, 5% increase in achievement and retention rates, test and improve efficiency, confidence and competency in m-learning and engagement with PDF’s, smart phones and UMPC tablets, overcome barriers to learning and attract non-traditional learners such as young parents and NEET young people.
